I completely agree. I'm one of those "bored" Hearthstone players, who just have got every single card, tried every single deck, and just aren't as interested anymore. But the game did woke up the ccg hunger that was dormant in me, since those youth years of magic the gathering. Point is rather than seing hearthstone as competition, I see it more like a paradigm shift in gaming, a trend setter. If famous HS streamers begin to talk about scrolls, i would expect an influx of new players

i think it would be silly not to imitate hearthstone. That game is great, is free to play and spending mountains of money is no guarantee off hitting legend, because of the competitive nature of it all. Having a vast collection of cards is not, by far, equal to easy wins. Perhaps in the lower ranks having a card or not having it can make a difference, but that changes radically as you move up the ladder. In short, you should be able to buy card packs with shards.
